Hillsboro - Mrs. Alice Emma Hankins, 82,, a former resident of HIllsboro died at 4:55 a.m. Thursday in Clinton County Hospital at Frankfort. Mrs. Hankins had moved to Frankfort 8 months ago after living in Hillsboro 12 years. She attended Cooper's Chapel Church near Veedersburg and Rush School. A native of Veedersburg, she was born May 9, 1884, a daughter of George and Olivia Washburn Zimmerman. She married Sam Hankins in 1901 in Danville, Ill. Surviving are the husband; a son, Dale of Frankfort; 3 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren and 4 great great granchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl who was Montgomery County Clerk in Feb of 1966. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Crumle-Williams Funeral Home here with Rev. Morris J. Finch officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. -- kbz
